Enroll in 3 Simple Steps

NHTI offers rolling enrollment, which means you’re always in time to enroll for next semester. Explore your possibilities!

Not sure what program to choose? Review the programs of study or email an admissions counselor at [email protected]

Follow the steps below, and download the Enrollment Checklist for easy reference.

We understand that your academic background differs from students who attended traditional public, private, or charter schools. Our small class size and active campus life allows you to engage closely with faculty, staff, and fellow students and become part of our community.

1. Apply for Admission

Great news: There is no application fee! If you fill out the online application, click “First time user account creation” and follow the instructions. Otherwise, you can download our application, fill it out, and return it to [email protected].

While the nature of home schooling is unique to each student, NHTI requires appropriate documentation to determine admission. You’ll meet the same General and Specific Admission Requirements as other students and need to provide documentation of the academic work you have accomplished in accordance with program requirements.

Documentation may include the following:

  • A list of courses taken, and grades earned, an official transcript, or portfolio of work accomplished
  • High school equivalency or other testing, if applicable
  • Self-Certification of High School or Equivalent (PDF)
  • A letter or other documentation from the student’s local school district stating the student has completed a home school program at the high school level in accordance with their State regulations.

Contact Admissions with any questions at 603-230-4011 or [email protected].

2. Apply for Financial Aid

NHTI participates in all forms of federal financial aid; if you are planning on applying for financial aid, you should fill out your FAFSA at the same time you are applying for admission. Take a few moments to review these sites:

3. Register for Courses

Your academic advisor will help you registered for courses and introduce you to the Student Information System, which gives you full access to online information such test dates, assignments, and grades.

You may need to take a placement test for a particular course; these can often be waived based on your high school GPA, transfer credits, or standardized test scores such as SAT and ACT. Have you earned AP Exam credits? You may be able to apply them!

If you’re a student athlete, an Allied Health student, or planning to live on campus, Health Services needs a record of your health history. Download the form and instructions on the Health Services page.
