The Honors Program at NHTI encourages high-achieving and highly motivated students to purposefully engage in coursework by enriching and expanding the expectations of the traditional college course. This specialized program is for students who want to recognize and build on their strengths. Students will complete at least 6 credits in Honors-designated general education classes and 6 credits of Honors work in their major courses.
The NHTI Honors student wants a deeper engagement with:
- Academic growth

NHTI offers more than 90 courses, including those designated as Honors courses. Many 4-year schools look favorably on Honors transfers. The NHTI Honors Program can help the Honors student connect with other Honors programs at area colleges and universities, both public and private.
Honors students may be eligible to join NHTI’s 5-star Alpha Upsilon Omicron chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. PTK members undertake an Honors in Action project each year and host social events such as bonfires and a campus-wide Friendsgiving among other service projects.
