Engineering Students and Programs Benefit
NHTI – Concord’s Community College is pleased to announce the college has received a gift of much-needed equipment for our engineering programs. This donated lab equipment from manroland Goss web systems, located in Durham, N.H., will elevate our current lab capabilities.
Among the equipment, is an Instron universal test stand with video extensometer, Sony CCD microscope, and digital high-precision lab balances. manroland Goss is in the process of downsizing and relocating their manufacturing facility and wanted to find a new home for their no-longer-needed research lab equipment.
Jeff Beltramo, Professor of Engineering stated, “Dave Pollack, of manroland Goss, reached out to NHTI to see if we had a need for such equipment, and we were thrilled. The donated equipment will be used within the Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering programs; and it will provide enhanced learning for our engineering students. It’s very exciting, and over the next year, we will be developing new labs using this equipment.”
