Next Steps for New Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to NHTI, Concord’s Community College!

We are excited to have you join the NHTI community. Starting college comes with lots of questions, and we’re here to guide you.

To help you get started, review the New Student Checklist below; it outlines your next steps to enroll and includes links to the Lynx Den, where you will find information and resources for Current Students.

Welcome to Lynx Country!

Watch for an email from CCSNH IT with your NHTI EasyLogin Information. With your EasyLogin credentials, you can access your CCSNH student portal, the NHTI Housing Application, the AwardSpring Scholarship Application, and more! From the portal, you’ll be able to access:

  • Navigate
  • Canvas
  • CCSNH student email account
  • the Student Information System (SIS), where you can view your schedule, bill for tuition and fees, financial aid, and other important information.

Students new to the Community College System of NH (CCSNH) will receive an email from CCSNH IT 24 hours after acceptance with your EasyLogin credentials and directions on how to access your account. If you do not receive that EasyLogin email from CCSNH or have questions about logging in, please contact the NHTI Help Desk at [email protected], or check out IT Services for help and information.

Be sure to start checking your student email regularly! You will receive important reminders and notifications from NHTI via your student email, and is how your advisor, teachers, and other departments (like Financial Aid) will communicate with you.

If you have not already done so, please submit your final, official high school transcript (or equivalent) and any applicable college transcripts or AP Exam score reports to Admissions for review. To be official, transcripts must be sent by your prior school directly to the Admissions Office at NHTI; transcripts sent by you are not official.  Contact your previous institution and ask them to send your official transcript to us; schools can send transcripts electronically to [email protected] or by mail to our office.

Students accepted into an Allied Health program listed below should review their acceptance letter for next steps.

Allied Health Programs: Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Nursing RN, Nursing LPN to RN Completion, Nursing Paramedic to RN Completion, Orthopaedic Technology, Radiation Therapy, and Radiologic Technology.

The Registration and Orientation steps for students enrolling in our Allied Health Care programs are different from other majors at NHTI. Your acceptance letter includes specific directions regarding how to submit your tuition deposit, the tuition deposit deadline to confirm your enrollment, and details on your department’s Orientation.

Allied Health Students must register for courses with their departments, and will receive follow-up emails from their departments regarding registration, clinical clearance and health form requirements.

Incoming students need to meet with an academic advisor or their department to register for classes in their first semester. Submit an Advisor Meeting request form online or contact the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) at 603 230-4027 or [email protected] to make your appointment with an advisor.

If you had an IEP or 504, be sure to make an appointment with Accessibility Services to discuss academic supports available for you. Learn more about eligibility and steps to set up a Reasonable Accommodation Plan online at https://lynx.nhti.edu/student-services/accessibility-services.

We recommend that all students attend our New Student Orientation to learn about resources on campus and get the information you need to be ready to go when classes begin. At Orientation you can:

  • Learn about Academic Resources and Support
  • Meet faculty and students from your Academic department
  • Connect with Athletics and Student Life
  • Get your ID photo and parking permit
  • Visit the bookstore to get your books and NHTI swag
  • And most important, ask questions!

Check out upcoming dates and RSVP here: https://lynx.nhti.edu/student-services/student-life/orientation.

Allied Health programs have their own program specific Orientations, so review your acceptance letter for details.

We recommend that all students submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to determine financial aid eligibility. We have partnered with Granite Edvance who is able to meet and assist you with completing the FAFSA application and other avenues for funding college.

Once you have submitted your FAFSA, be sure to log into the SIS to view your aid award offer. The Financial Aid Office can assist you with any questions about your aid offer, how to accept or decline loans, or scholarship opportunities.

NHTI offers on-campus housing in two residence halls, Langley Hall and South Hall. Housing is available to matriculated NHTI students enrolled in a program for 12 credit hours or more per semester. Housing is limited, so it is recommended you apply as early as possible. You can access the Housing application online and learn more about Residence Life, including Guidelines for Residence Hall Living and how to prepare for Move in day  You will need to have your EasyLogin account set up to start your Housing application.

Students enrolling in Allied Health programs, living on-campus, or participating in Athletics need to submit specific health forms. Review those requirements and forms on the Health Forms Requirements page.

Tuition is due 2 weeks prior to the first day of the semester/session. NHTI’s Bursar’s Office does not mail paper bills, so be sure to view your tuition, fees and housing charges in the SIS.

Students can set up payment plans or submit their tuition payments directly through the SIS. You can view how to pay your tuition and fees online and contact the Bursar’s Office at 603 230-4012 or [email protected] with any questions.

Print your schedule from the SIS and bring it to the NHTI Bookstore (located in the Library) to purchase your books OR view and order your required course materials online at  https://lynx.nhti.edu/bookstore.

Please contact the Admissions Office with any questions—we are here to ensure a smooth transition so you are confident and ready for class on day one.

We are here to help you succeed, and wish you all the best in the journey ahead. Go Lynx!
