CONCORD – NHTI – Concord’s Community College is proud to announce that Brieanna Comeau, Dental Assisting class of 2022, has been awarded the American Dental Assistants Association’s Student Achievement and Merit Scholar Awards. Comeau has attended NHTI since graduating from Nashua High School North in Nashua, with aspirations of a career in dental assisting.

“We are so incredibly proud of Brieanna for this achievement,” said Kelly O’Brien, associate professor and Dental Assisting program coordinator. “I’ve had the pleasure of instructing her and see every day that she exemplifies the achievements sought by the ADAA. She has earned and truly deserves every accolade that comes with these awards.”

“Congrats, Brieanna! This is a momentous achievement and one truly deserved,” said Dr. Andrew Fisher, vice president of Academic Affairs at NHTI. “We wish her the very best in her future endeavors and know, without a doubt, she will represent NHTI and the Community College System of New Hampshire not only with our excellent Dental education but through her dedication, commitment, and enthusiasm for her profession.”

The ADAA Student Achievement Award, presented nationally to only one student per year, goes to a student who has demonstrated leadership ability through some activity related to dentistry through participation in-class activities, student organization(s), and local/state dental assisting organizations.

The ADAA Merit Scholar Award is presented to a student who has demonstrated advanced achievement in academic and clinical performance as well as teamwork and leadership qualities, based on involvement in campus program and/or community activities.

The ADAA stated in the awards letter that Comeau “exhibited qualities of organization, cooperation, integrity and leadership during your dental assisting education.” Upon graduation, she will begin work at Nashua Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry.
