Benefits Dental Hygiene Program

dental hygiene associate degree at nhti

NHTI – Concord’s Community College is pleased to announce an in-kind gift of two portable magnetostrictive ultrasonic scalers valued at over $6,000 for the Dental Hygiene program. NHTI is grateful for community donors like New Boston Dental Care, PLLC, of New Boston, NH, for donating valuable equipment and technology currently in use in the dental field.

NHTI offers an Associate in Science in Dental Hygiene and is the only Dental Hygiene program in New Hampshire, offering students in northern New England the opportunity to enter Dental Hygiene with state-of-the-art clinical facilities.

Allied Dental Education department chair, Lisa Scott, gratefully expressed, “This generous donation allows our students to utilize current technology in simulation labs to further develop their clinical skills and concentrate on their instrumentation fundamentals. The additional practice in the lab setting affords them the opportunity to be more successful in the clinical portion of the program and prepares them well for patient care. It’s donations like this that allow NHTI to better prepare our graduates for the workforce.”

Established in 1970, NHTI’s Dental Hygiene program graduates dental hygienists who enjoy rewarding, successful careers serving a variety of patients and populations in NH and beyond. Graduates are well prepared with the skills and knowledge required of professional dental hygienists. As a public community college, NHTI provides accessible, affordable, and industry-relevant programs. With “community” central to our mission, we rely heavily on strong partnerships with industry, community members, donors, and alumni to financially support our academic programs and aid student success in both education and workforce pathways.
