This course is based on Stephen R. Covey’s book, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People®. After 30 years, this book continues to be a bestseller because it ignores trends and pop psychology to focus on timeless principles of fairness, integrity, honesty, and human dignity for personal effectiveness, leadership development and change.

You’ll explore the habits that lead to personal mastery, then transition to those that improve our interpersonal communications and relationships. You’ll learn the importance of making self-care a priority and be able to identify areas in your personal and professional lives that matter most and develop a plan for turning your ideas and good intentions into action.

In partnership with NH Division of Public Health Services Oral Health program, NHTI offers courses for dental hygienists who seek to become NH Certified Public Health Dental Hygienists (CPHDH).  

To earn the CPHDH Microcredential at NHTI and meet the CPHDH education requirements, delegates must take the 5 required classes:

  • Infection Control in Alternative Settings CEUs:  4
  • Medical Records Management  CEUs:  8
  • Medical Management in Public Health Settings  CEUs: 6
  • Caries Stabilization CEUs: 10
  • Evidence Based Dentistry CEUs: 7.5

To successfully apply to qualify as a CPHDH in NH, dental hygienists must:

  • Practice for 3200 hours (1600 within 2 years prior to certification)
  • Be qualified in dental sealants
  • Complete the above specified courses within 4 years prior to certification, and
  • Register with, and submit proof of completion of all requirements to the NH BODE
  • Receive certification from the NH BODE

9 Weeks / 144 Instructional Hours / Offered as customized training for cohorts of 10.

This program provides the basic skills required for individuals seeking entry-level employment at a CNC machine operator in a manufacturing facility. Students in the microcredential certificate program gain skills in blueprint reading, precision measurement, machining, and CNC machine operation. They learn to operate manual milling machines, lathes, and grinders and produce parts within tolerances specified on blueprints.

 Verified Microcredential Certificate

The training encompasses 144 hours of didactic and hands-on instruction over the course of nine weeks. The course offers lectures on manufacturing topics, in-class activities, hands-on lab projects, demos, and independent reading/study. Time is also dedicated for in-class assessment.

Active participation is a major component of this course and is aligned with workplace expectations to include cooperative working interactions, taking the initiative to complete tasks, staying on project tasks, and offering assistance to fellow students.

Data analytics for HR microcredentialThis program can be delivered to your team on your own schedule with a minimum of 8 delegates. Eligible for the Job Training Fund.

Researchers are finding more and more evidence that leveraging human capital improves a company’s performance – its revenue, customer satisfaction, employee retention, and ability to attract new employees, among others. As a leader responsible for the success of your organization, you need to leverage data to take full advantage of this valuable resource. This 6-week microcredential course will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to begin. In non-technical language, this introduction explores the theory, practice, and terminology of people-centered analytics in organizations today.

You’ll come away from this course with the ability to improve your decision-making by optimizing the use of data, analytical methods, and especially your human capital.

This program can be delivered to your team on your own schedule with a minimum of 8 delegates.

This specialized training runs six weeks, with a 2.5 hours of instruction per week that will take place in an online meeting space. The material is delivered in 6 modules with the goal of providing a reference manual to support your daily work. Through a web-based learning site, you will learn with survey/assessments, learning objectives, course materials, and resources. You will be asked to take a post-training survey to measure the understanding and retention of the course curriculum.

The program improves overall customer satisfaction by increasing your understanding of dental terms and procedures. It enables you to provide accurate feedback on how dental procedures relate to each other to help the insurance subscriber maximize dental benefits.

Being a frontline manager is hard. Meeting organizational demands in an efficient and effective way can be challenging, frustrating and seemingly never ending. To succeed, the frontline manager must not only have the technical skills to do the job, but the people skills needed to cultivate and maintain a culture where employees are recognized as the organization’s most important asset and consistently treated that way.

Presented in eight two-hour sessions, this series explores what it takes for a frontline manager to become a frontline leader. The journey taken in this series begins with self- awareness, travels through making the break from the line to manager, makes stops to consider the success steps needed to supervise well and arrives with the transition of the manager to leader.

The focus is on the soft skills all managers need. The series is accentuated by active participation, readings, and exercises. You will leave not only with the information needed to manage people well, but with the encouragement to do so.
