Complete Placement Testing and Register for Courses.
Students are required to take placement tests to determine college-readiness in certain subjects. Students who have subject-specific transfer credits or meet the SAT requirements may be waived from taking some placement tests. If students think they are eligible to be waived from placement tests, they must submit official documentation to the NHTI Admissions Office prior to placement testing in order to be waived from any tests. If students are not waived from taking placement tests, they must take ACCUPLACER® before registering for classes. The $20 non-refundable testing fee will be charged to a student’s account at the time of testing. Contact the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE Center) at (603) 230-4027 to make an appointment to take any required tests and to register for courses. Please allow a full half-day for testing and registration. You will not be able to register for courses until you have completed placement testing and submitted your tuition deposit.
Please note: Students in certificate programs do not need to complete placement testing
Register for Orientation.
All students are expected to participate in Orientation. At NHTI, we make your transition to college easy with our New Student Orientation Day! After you have submitted your Tuition Deposit, completed Placement Testing and Registered for Classes, Sign up for Orientation (see Orientation Schedule for Students or Orientation Schedule for Guests).
