Steps You Must Take Before Attending NHTIStudent Reading

  1. Pay $100 Tuition Deposit within 30 days of acceptance in order to reserve your seat in your desired academic program. Your deposit should be payable to NHTI and sent to: NHTI Bursar's Office

  2. Complete Placement Testing
    You must do this before registering for classes.  The cost of ACCUPLACER® is $20.00. Payment will be taken at the Bursar’s Office, which is located in Sweeney Hall. Please show the receipt to the Learning Center staff at the time you are scheduled to take the test. You must also show a photo ID to the test proctor at the time of the test.  Download a registration form here.
  3. Orientation and Registration. Students need to submit their Tuition Deposit and complete Placement Testing prior to registering for courses.
    • Incoming DAY students: Register with the Department Head of your program (see listing below for contact information). Most students will register for courses on Orientation Day.  Sign up for Orientation; Orientation Schedule
  4. Plan to Pay Your Tuition and Fees
    Tuition, fees and housing for the upcoming semester are due three weeks before the first class day of the semester. For information about how to pay your tuition and fees, or set up an online Installment Payment Plan, visit the Bursar's home page. Use the Payment Due Worksheet to determine how much you will need to pay or how much your “estimated” refund will be.
  5. Submit a Health Report Form (for students in health programs, athletes and residence hall students)
  6. Apply for a Residence Hall if you want to live on campus
