Outdoor Recreation
All ground facilities are for the use and enjoyment of students, faculty, staff and guests of NHTI. Certain areas will be designated for athletic and general recreation, and students should confine recreational activities to the designated areas. Students should not participate in athletic activities near the residence halls to avoid breaking windows or causing other damage to the halls or injury to students in and around the halls.

On campus facilities include baseball, softball and soccer fields, two tennis courts, outdoor basketball court, horseshoe pit, and walking routes.

Canoes and Boats
Privately owned canoes and boats may be used on Fort Eddy Pond. However, each person in a canoe or boat must wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved life preserver and comply with state regulations for boating.

Fort Eddy Pond, the 10-acre pond on campus adjacent to the Earl H. Little Hall and Strout and South Halls, is ideal for fishing. The pond contains bass and pickerel. Students planning to fish must have a NH fishing license. Fishing season rules must be obeyed.

Ice Skating and Swimming
Ice skating and swimming are not permitted on or in the river or pond located on campus. NHTI will not assume any liability for any personal injury or property damage as a result of swimming on campus. There are many swimming opportunities available in the Concord area. Please check with the Intramural Director for more information or check the local telephone directory.

Recreational Equipment
Recreation equipment for softball, volleyball, flag football, horseshoes, badminton, and other games are available in the Wellness Center and will be assigned to individuals who will be responsible for the return of the equipment. Arrangements can be made through the Wellness Center Director for the use of this equipment.
