Please Note: Please be advised that the Wellness Center (Gym & Fitness Center) will be closed May 28 - June 1 due to Memorial Day and the re-coating of the Gym Floor.
We hope to re-open the fitness center the week of June 4th and will let everyone know when the decision is made. The gym will remain CLOSED probably through June 11th due to the process and drying.
The beautiful $2 million Dr. Goldie Crocker Wellness Center includes a weight room, cardiovascular exercise room along with a spectacular wood gymnasium floor featuring six baskets and a full length college size basketball court. The building also houses 22,000 square feet of floor space, athletic training area, and locker rooms that are used for intercollegiate, intramural and recreational activities/events. The building also features two floors of offices, lobby space, and meeting rooms. Ample parking is available adjacent to or near the building. The facility is open to NHTI students, faculty, staff, and employees of the Community College System of NH Office. An NHTI ID with current semester validation sticker is required and necessary to access the building. All participants must sign a waiver and fill out an emergency contact form and return these to the Wellness Center Office prior to using the facility.
We are here to:
- Promote a user-friendly, non-threatening and comfortable environment
- Foster a spirit of community
- Enhance mental, physical, and emotional equilibrium
- Respond to needs of recruitment and retention of a diverse population
- Provide leisure education to enhance personal development
The Crocker Center enables NHTI to host intercollegiate athletic events in basketball and volleyball. The Center can also be used as an indoor practice facility for other varsity sports. The building is a center for intramural athletics of all sorts, as well as for exercise classes, fitness and weight training, and walking programs. The facilities are available for instructional purposes for professors involved in any of NHTI's over 90 degree and certificate programs. The Crocker Center has already served as a site for events such as political conventions, health fairs, group functions, and various college events involving admissions and placement. A special floor covering can help transform the gymnasium into a multipurpose facility capable of hosting anything from concerts to dramatic presentations.
Note: Current semester validation sticker on your ID is required to access the building.
