NNESCC/YSCC Champions - 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2015
NECA Champions - 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015
The NHTI Softball team has enjoyed tremendous success the last two seasons. In 2013-2014 they went 26-13 and earned a bid to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Nationals. They followed that with a 26-4 season in 2014-2015 and another trip to the USCAA Small College World Series in Akron, Ohio. The Lynx have been very successful in the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) going 30-7 the past two years and winning the fall New England Collegiate Association (NECA) Championship in 2014 and capturing regular season title in both years. The 2015 year was highlighted by an undefeated spring season, winning the YSCC Championship with a hard fought 1-0 defeat of the College of St. Joseph and a trip to the USCAA Nationals. NHTI entered as the #6 seed and went 2-2 to capture 4th place in the tournament. The trip was highlighted by a 15 strikeout performance by Tori Lemay (Manchester, NH) in a 6-0 defeat of #3 Penn St - Brandywine in game one, and a 4-for-4 game, including a homerun, by Masha Lange (Plaistow, NH) in an 8-3 win over #5 Penn St - Hazleton. Lemay and Lange were both named to the All-Tournament team for their fine performances in Akron.
The team was led all year by the pitching of Lemay and the outstanding all-around play of Lange. Both garnered All-Conference and All-American Awards for the year. Lemay also captured the Most Valuable Player Award in the YSCC Tournament, as well as Academic All-American the past two years. Second baseman Joardyn Douilliette (Penacook, NH) ended her NHTI career by winning All-Conference honors as well. The Lynx lose nine players to graduation but look forward to another great season behind Lemay and Rookie of the Year Kate Andritz (Stark, NH) as well an outstanding recruiting class.
Kerry Finnigan is returning for his fourth year as the head coach of the Lynx, and will be assisted by Stacy Seidner for a third season.
