Jake McManus joined the NHTI Baseball coaching staff during the 2014 spring baseball season.
McManus, a 2007 Hopkinton High School graduate, was a three-time first team All-State selection while playing shortstop and pitching for the Hawks. During his 2007 campaign he was name Concord Monitor “Player of The Year” and continued on to play in the New Hampshire-Maine game in 2007.
After high school McManus started his pursuit of a college degree in Civil Engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology. McManus captured a middle infield position his freshman year and helped the Leopards see some of their best baseball years. During his time at Wentworth he left with the most hits in school history while being a two time All-Conference second baseman.
After his collegiate years McManus has stayed apart of the game between umpiring, playing and coaching. Currently, McManus is a Superintendent of Construction with the Hooksett, N.H. based company – PROCON.

Coach David Chase is a graduate of Lyndon State College (1985) Lyndon, V.T. and New England College (2010 M.S.) in Henniker, N.H. He has coached varsity baseball and basketball for a total of 28 years in Massachusetts, Vermont, Utah and New Hampshire, including the last 18 at Hopkinton High School. He teaches physical education, serves as middle school athletic director and coaches both the varsity baseball and basketball teams for the Hawks.
Coach Chase just recorded his 350th career win as a varsity baseball coach (202 at Hopkinton High School). Chase’s baseball teams have won two state championships (2000 and 2012) and his basketball teams have won over 325 games during his career with three state championships in Vermont and New Hampshire. Coach Chase has been named NH Coach of the Year in both baseball and basketball a total of four times. He has also coached New Hampshire rotary basketball teams three times. He resides in Contoocook, N.H. with his wife, Amanda; daughter, Callie; and son, Sam.
