Overview
This is one IT certificate that is focused exclusively on networking, allowing students to develop a high level of expertise and to earn an industry recognized network certification. The program consists of a progression of three courses, which can be taken day or evening.
This program is not financial aid eligible.
Students who complete these courses will be eligible to test the worldwide industry-recognized certificate:
Cisco Certifiied Network Associate (CCNA)
Upon successful testing, graduates will be in demand for professional networking positions in a variety of companies. Students may also choose to continue their education, e.g. with NHTI’s IT VoIP certificate.
There is a growing demand for network technicians in New Hampshire. In July 2015, the job search site Indeed.com listed 63 openings for CCNAs in New Hampshire. Salary.com reported median annual salaries for network administrators at $56,730 nationally, and $59,907 in Concord, NH in July 2015. State employment statistics for 2012 showed over 1800 positions for network administrators, with job growth projected at 12.8% through 2022 (www.nhes.nh.gov/elmi/products/proj.htm).
