Your orientation fee includes the cost of your first Student Identification card. There are several ways to obtain your card that are explained below.
Your Student ID serves many purposes both on and off campus such as checking out books from the NHTI Library, access to the Wellness Center and use of equipment in the Student Center, accessing flex dollars for the Capitol Commons/Bistro, attending school events such as dances and comedy shows and providing discounts at local businesses.
Once you have obtained your Student ID from the Campus Safety Department you will then need to have it validated. To validate your Student ID you will need to go to the Bursars Office, located on the first floor of Sweeney Hall, during normal office hours. A new validation sticker is issued each semester to reflect that you are currently registered for classes and that you have made arrangements to pay all tuition and fees.
If you find that you need a Student ID replaced for any reason you need to go to the Campus Safety Office, located at 1 Institute Drive. The fee for each replacement is $10.00. This charge is applied to your student account at the Bursars Office located on the 1st floor of Sweeney Hall. You will also need to go to the Bursars Office to have the replacement ID validated.
