Notices will be posted in the Residence Halls, Capital Commons, and Bistro prior to a snowstorm advising students where to move their vehicles. Any vehicles not moved by the designated time may be ticketed and/or towed at owner's expense.
Whenever possible, announcements will also be made over the intercom systems in each residence hall advising when and where to move vehicles.
Additional notices will be posted indicating when vehicles can be returned to their designated parking area. It is equally important to return vehicles to their original location so that maintenance can remove the snow properly from those areas as well.
Campus Safety is always available to provide assistance in the event of a motor vehicle related issue, but such requests should be made in a timely manner so as not to hinder snow removal efforts.
Snow days will be declared in emergency situations.
Students, faculty, and staff need to leave their vehicle keys with Campus Safety or a friend if they are leaving their vehicle on campus. This is particularly important during the snow removal season from October 31 - March 31.
