NHTI’s women's soccer team has become one of the nation's perennial powers among two-year colleges, competing regionally and nationally in the US Collegiate Athletic Association. Building on their success each year in the Yankee Small College Conference, the Lynx have set the USCAA National Championship as their goal.
In 2015 the Lynx went undefeated in the regular season, dropping their only game in the YSCC semifinals.
In 2015 Shannon Hart Led the YSCC with 21 goals and Stefani Gauther led in assists (11). In net Marrisa Fortier led the conference in goals against (0.93) and save percentage (.831).
Head Coach Heidi Crockett enters her third season at the helm and first year Assistant Coach Molly Todd look to take their program to an even higher level this year by working harder on development and TEAM. Their philosophy of “playing for the love of the game” has brought them a lot of success in the past and they plan to continue on with this ideal at NHTI.
Coach Crockett and Coach Todd, having both played sports at the collegiate level, understand the demands of the classroom and the soccer pitch. Their “ultimate goal” is to give their athletes the confidence to be successful in the classroom as well as on the pitch.
