RD Eric Benn comes to NHTI from the small state of Rhode Island, where he worked in the hospitality industry with Marriott Hotels. He graduated from Plymouth State University in Communications with a focus on Film and Media and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Leadership through Norwich University.
While studying at Plymouth, Eric was actively involved in student activities, from the campus programming board to the school’s Student Senate. Also included was his involvement in the school’s Residential Life department. Student affairs is something that Eric has always had a passion for, “I feel that half of what students learn while at college is what we in the student affairs field offer: community, civility, and prosperity.”
Eric is an avid movie fan, especially in the horror genre and enjoys writing television screenplays in his spare time. He will be the new advisor to the NHTI Gay Straight Alliance starting in the fall and is looking forward to bringing some new traditions to the campus incorporating the LGBTQ community.

Hello everyone! My name is Emily Dietrich and I am from Medford, MA. This is my third semester as a Resident Assistant, but my first semester working in Strout Hall. I live on the third floor in room 323. However, if you cannot find me in my room, you will most likely find me wandering around Strout socializing with everyone. I am currently pursuing my degree in General Studies, as well as a Management certificate. I am a member of the national honor society Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), Treasurer for NHTI Alliance, and work study supervisor for the office of Student Life. In my spare time I enjoy being around friends, joking around, throwing the ball around, jamming out and studying dance. However, my true passion in life is dance. I am a Beantown gal, so I try not to miss any Boston sports games. If you need help, a shoulder to lean on, or just want to talk, feel free to find me. I would love to help!

I love helping others and I am a great listener, so if you need help or just want to talk, swing by room 307!
