Diane writes, "My works transition from the traditional into the contemporary. My hand-dyed fabrics inspire my work and provide a surface for further embellishment. Surface design implemented with paint, dye, rust, discharge agents, photo transfer, layering and manipulation have been the main focus of my pieces. It's the process I love."
Walnut Bandsaw Box
MacLean writes, "I handcraft one-of-a-kind wooden utensils, band saw boxes, shawl/hair pin and disk sets, vases and buttons using some of the wood from my old cherry tree [that blew over during a storm] and other wood such as oak, apple, lilac, beech and cedar."
