On Thursday January 30 the NHTI men’s basketball team fell to Massasoit Community College 95-81. Demetrious Rouse (Detroit, MI) paced the Lynx with 33 points. Also playing well were Jordon Richard (Raymond) with 13 points, and Ethan Rutledge (Curacao) with 11 points.
On Saturday February 1 the men were defeated by Washington Adventist University 99-58. The leaders for the Lynx were Rouse with 25 points and 13 rebounds, Dorea Wilson (Detroit, MI) with nine points, and Richard with eight points and six boards.
On Sunday February 2 the women’s basketball team topped USCAA foe Berkeley College (NY) 67-62. The Lynx were led by Allura LeBlanc (Northwood) with 20 points and eight boards, Thalia Garcia (Nashua) with 14 points, and Danielle Kimball (Derry) with 12 points and seven boards.
The following Tuesday both teams played Hampshire College. The women’s basketball team squashed the Frogs 87-31. Pacing the Lynx were Sara Romano (Lebanon) with 16 points, six rebounds and six assists, Anay Leek (Manchester) with 14 points, Jessica Wagner (Conway) with 17 points, Garcia with 12 points, and LeBlanc with 18 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and two blocks.
The men downed Hampshire 111-55. The leaders for the Lynx were Phil Smith (New Britain, CT) with 14 points, eight boards and seven assists, Alex Ingals (Exeter) with 15 points, Bujar Syla (Manchester) with 14 points, Mark Harbour (Brooklyn, NY) with 22 points and seven rebounds, and Kevin Pierre (Hudson) with 11 points, eight rebounds and four steals.
Both Lynx teams now have 12-12 records overall.
