Ty Williams is the Residence Director of North Hall at NHTI. He moved to New Hampshire in January with his wife from NYC but is originally from the Binghamton, New York area. Ty has a Bachelor of Science in Network Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration. Ty enjoys snowshoeing, snowboarding, hiking, camping, paint-ball, movies, and games. Stop by his office in North Hall lobby if you need anything or just want to talk.
Luis Cortes is from Lawrence, Massachusetts. He graduated from Whittier Technical Institute in 2014. Luis is a bilingual student whose first language is Spanish. This is his third semester as a Resident Assistant and first semester as Head Resident Assistant. He is currently in Dental Assisting. Some of the things Luis enjoys are working with kids, playing sports, bowling, and meeting new people. He is always open for any new ideas. Luis is looking forward to helping students be successful this semester as well as meeting new people.
Kelsey May was born in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, but she lives in Ossipee, New Hampshire for her whole life. For most of you who don’t know, she loves donuts. Kelsey graduated from Kingswood Regional High School in 2015. She was a Resident Assistant in South Hall for three semesters, and this is her first semester living in North Hall. Her major is Elementary Education. She has two nieces, one is named Mya who is eight, and Jaylan who is five. Kelsey enjoys hanging out with friends and family and going to Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine. You can find her in room 230 so feel free to stop by whenever!
This is Nolan McGurn's second year attending NHTI, and his first semester being a Resident Assistant. He is from Plaistow, New Hampshire and graduated from Timberlane Regional High School in 2016. He is currently studying Accounting, and hope to pursue a bachelor’s degree in finance. He loves photography and classical music. Nolan is currently the Treasurer for Student Senate on campus and also works in the Athletics and Wellness Center office. He loves being involved and helping others. If you ever want to talk, feel free to stop by to his room in 216 or when he is around campus! Make the best of your semester!
Sophie Castillo is currently enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program. This is her second-semester attending NHTI and her first semester as a Resident Assistant. She is from Honduras, and her first language is Spanish. She loves horseback riding and watching movies. If you ever have questions or just want to learn some Spanish and/or hang out feel free to stop by her room in 223.
Delani Murphy is going into her second year in General Studies and first year as a Resident Assistant. Her two big hobbies include art and video games, and you’ll find that she will delve into either of those whenever she has free time. She may come off as shy in the beginning but loves hanging out and talking to everyone. Delani hopes she can develop strong relationships with her residents and make this an enjoyable year for them.
