NEW! - The NH Order of Women Legislators Scholarship

The NH Order of Women Legislators Scholarship will be given to a New Hampshire resident who is a non-traditional student working to obtain transitional education in their field of endeavor with a view toward public service.  This $500 scholarship is based on financial need.  Two or more scholarships will be awarded each year.  Deadline is May 11, 2016.  Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office.

NEW! - The 2016 Yankee Chapter PRSA Scholarship

Candidates must be undergraduates who will achieve “sophomore,” “junior,” or “senior” grade level by fall 2016, or graduate students at an accredited, degree-granting college or university in Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont, who have a declared major in a public relations-related field. While Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) members are encouraged to apply, membership in PRSSA is not required. Entries will be judged by a committee of public relations professionals. Winners will be announced in June 2016. The honoree will receive a $500 scholarship to be used toward tuition and fees. The application deadline is May 23, 2016.  Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office. For questions or comments, please contact Donna Eason, APR at djeason@comcast.net.

LAST CHANCE! - Zonta Club of Concord, Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship

Zonta logoThe Zonta JMK Women In Business Scholarship Program is designed to encourage women to enter careers and to seek leadership positions in business-related fields in their communities and throughout the world. Any New Hampshire woman undertaking a business and/or business-related program leading to a business management career at an accredited university/college/institute, in at least their second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a Master’s program at the time the application is submitted, is eligible to apply. Priority will be given to applicants whose permanent legal residence is in Merrimack County, NH.

The recipient of the Zonta Club of Concord’s $1,000 award will be eligible to compete at the Zonta District 1 level for an additional $1,000 award. The successful Zonta District 1 recipient will qualify to compete for one of 12 international scholarships of $7,000 each. Applications and eligibility requirements are available online through the Zonta Club of Concord website, zontadistrict1.org/concord_nh. Completed applications should be sent to: Zonta Club of Concord, NH, ATTN: Liza Poinier, PO Box 1736, Concord, NH 03302-1736, by April 14, 2016.

LAST CHANCE! - NH Electric Co-op Foundation Scholarship

The NH Electric Co-op Foundation will be offering six $1500 scholarships, one of which is reserved for a student attending a vocational/technical institution.  Applicant must be a member of the Co-op, or be residing with a parent or legal guardian who is a member.  Applications may be obtained by calling the Co-op offices at 1-800-698-207 or by visiting the Co-op website.

College Equals Opportunity (CEO) Scholarship

The NHHEAF Network Organizations' College Equals Opportunity (CEO) Scholarship Program provides significant scholarship dollars to deserving college students who demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities, academic talent and financial need. Since inception, $320,000 has been awarded in scholarship to college students from New Hampshire.

The program recognizes current college sophomores and juniors with $2,500 scholarships. Since its inception in 2005, the CEO Scholarship Program has awarded $320,000 to deserving NH college students. 

Applications for this scholarship are now being accepted, and are due April 22, 2016. Students may apply on the NHHEAF website

Concord Hospita​l Trust Scholarship for Nursing & Allied Health Students

When you apply for and are awarded a scholarship from our scholarship fund you receive philanthropic dollars to support your pursuit of a career in the nursing or allied healthcare professions.  Multiple scholarships are available to deserving students pursuing careers primarily in nursing and, on a limited basis, to students pursuing careers in various qualifying fields of allied health care.  Scholarship awards typically range from $1,000 - $3,000.  Award recipients are notified by mid June.  Applications must be submitted and received no later than April 29, 2016.   Apply on the Concord Hospital website.

National Association of Women in Construction Scholarship

The Granite State Chapter #218 of the National Association of Women in Construction will be accepting applications for our annual scholarship of $1000.  Requirements for this scholarship are as follows:

  • NH resident entering final year of program in a 2-yr school
  • GPA of C or better, with Official Transcript
  • Majoring in a construction related field, i.e. engineering, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or general construction, etc.
  • An essay of approximately 150 words stating why student has chosen the construction industry for their career.  (No other application form is required.)

Application should be postmarked no later than May 1, 2016 in order to be considered.  Notification of award will be made by June 1, 2016.  Applications should be mailed to:

Alice M. Yarnold and Samuel Yarnold Scholarship

The Alice M. Yarnold and Samuel Yarnold Scholarship Trust offers $1000 - $5000 per year in scholarships for students interested in nursing, medicine, social work or other related areas of post-secondary education.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be New Hampshire residents who are already in the process of post-secondary education.
  • Individuals must demonstrate financial need and scholastic excellence.

Applications must be submitted by May 19, 2016.  Applications are available in the NHTI Financial Aid Office.

Senior Homes Caregiver Scholarship

Two students who are in good academic standing and attending a U.S. college or university will each receive a $1,000 scholarship from SeniorHomes.com for use in paying tuition and/or books.

Complete and submit the application form by 11:59 p.m. PDT on June 30, 2016.  Judging will be based on the following criteria, that include, but are not limited to:

  • Submission quality (inspiring, extraordinary, or otherwise compelling);
  • Impact the scholarship will make on the life of the student and the person they care for;
  • Whether the applicant has addressed the application questions and satisfied the application guidelines.

Announcement of the winners will be made by August 1, 2016.  Apply at www.seniorhomes.com/scholarship.
