Friendly Kitchen Race IconRun the Friendly 5K!

5:30 - 7 pm

For the 9th consecutive year, NHTI will host a 5K road race to help support Concord’s Friendly Kitchen.  The race will be run on a newly-certified flat and fast course.  There will also be a 3K Fitness Walk starting at 5:30 pm, and a Fun Run for children at 6:15 pm.

Registration entry fee is by donation.  Give whatever you can to the Friendly Kitchen!  For more details and to preregister, please visit http://thefriendlykitchen.org/news-and-events/.

There will be an awesome raffle after the award ceremony!  Numbers may be picked up, or you can register in person on the day of the race from 3:30 to 5:15 pm at the NHTI Student Center.

Play Ball for Seth!

NHTI's Annual Charity Wiffle Ball Tournament!

9 am - 4 pm

This annual event benefits a local child facing medical challenges.  Seth is a ten year old boy who has struggled with hemophilia since he was born.  Hemophilia is a genetically inherited bleeding disorder that impairs the body’s ability to control blood clotting,

Funds are raised by team registration fees and a silent auction held during the tournament.  (The registration fee is $100 from the team members, matched by $100 from a business sponsor.)  Open to the public; admission by donation.  Contact the Office of Student Life at 603-230-4045 or nhtistudentlife@ccsnh.edu.

This Month in the Library Gallery

In September, the NHTI Library Gallery features the Granite State Landscape Architects Traveling Showcase for 2015.  This exhibit highlights award-winning examples of designs that meld architectural artistry with the natural features of the surrounding countryside (below left).

Also on display are a series of paintings by local artist (and NHTI Visual Arts student) Robin Sandford Lamson (below right).

Finally, visitors are invited to participate in the Great Library Cat Contest!  Can you match photos of the librarians' cats with their owners?  Give it a try!
