Rumor has it that Spring is coming! OK, maybe Mother Nature is still toying with us, but when it comes you know you want to be prepared. You can be begin by purchasing raffle tickets to win a “Perception Impulse 10” Kayak (with paddle!) from SADHA, the Student Dental Hygienists Association. (Actual prize pictured at right.)
Tickets are $3 for 1 and $10 for 4, and are available from any Dental Hygiene student or Donna Gleeson in MacRury Hall Room 142. The drawing will be held on May 1, 2015. The winner will be notified by telephone.
SADHA is a community-service based student organization that works to educate the public about oral health and its role in overall general health. SADHA participates in many different events statewide, including an annual “Oral Health Wellness Fair” at the Concord Boys & Girls Club in Concord; a multi-city event sponsored by the NH Literacy Foundation held in Laconia, Littleton and Penacook; an Oral Health Fair at The Edgewood Centre Nursing Home/Day Care Center; and the Special Olympics event at UNH in Durham. SADHA also donates several hundred toothbrushes and other oral health products to various organizations throughout New Hampshire (and overseas) utilizing their fundraising dollars. Our student hygienists have a real desire to help out in their community!
A very special thanks goes out to Contoocook River Canoe Co., LLC for providing the kayak, and to Denutte’s Delights for providing the professional raffle tickets for this fundraising event!
