Podcasts Speak to Timely Topics
Should student interns be paid? This question can be controversial and employer opinions and practices are varied by location, industry, and other factors. Another key challenge is that employers are not always aware of labor laws tied to internships.
The new NHTI Job Board features a library of brief podcasts that address a wide variety of career topics including this one. Go to College Central Podcasts: Career and Job Search Advice and listen to…
Podcast number 55: Free or Fair Labor?
Another podcast on the topic of internships…
Podcast number 44: Test Drive the Real World
Students can access the complete College Central career podcast library through our job board. Students create accounts by going to www.collegecentral.com/nhti.

Join NHTI's Rock 'n' Race Team!
The Merrimack County Savings Bank Rock n Race 5K Fun Run and Walk will be held on Thursday, May 21 to support Concord Hospital's Payson Center for Cancer Care.
Rock n Race is a great event that starts at the State House and continues through the neighborhoods of Concord. You’ll hear local bands on street corners, water hoses cooling you off, and you'll get FOOD. These local bands and restaurants volunteer their time and food for the walkers and runners.
I participated last year for the first time and soon realized that this wasn’t really a race – it was a huge party with more free food than you can imagine. And the participants who got the most out of it were the walkers. They get to enjoy the local bands and food that line the course before reaching the real party at the finish.
This year the race is scheduled for the day before graduation. What a perfect way to celebrate the end of the semester – and no one has to bring the food!
Jen Galbraith and I have started an NHTI team. To get t-shirts with our NHTI team name, we need 9 or more people to sign up by April 1. This event is a fundraiser but no fundraising is required.
To join the NHTI Team follow this link and click on REGISTER HERE. You can join the team as an individual or with multiple people.

• Keep expensive jewelry and other valuables out of sight or in a hotel safe.
• Avoid being alone and always tell someone you trust where you are going.
• Never leave your drinks unattended.
• Most importantly, have FUN and enjoy your trip!!
If you need to leave your vehicle on campus over Spring Break, please contact Campus Safety at 224-3287.
Lost and Found?
This is a reminder to students, staff and faculty that the Campus Safety Department is the repository for all lost and found items. Should a lost and found item be turned into your area please contact the Safety Department so we can retrieve the item and inventory it accordingly.
In addition, beginning next week we will be posting brief descriptions of selected items in the lost and found inventory here in Campus Comments, in an effort to return missing property to its owners.
