Women Fall to CMCC

On Thursday Nov 20, the NHTI men’s basketball team won in dramatic fashion at rival CMCC 124-120 in overtime.  Yordy Tavarez (Nashua) led the team with 36 points and 8 assists.  Ethan Rutledge (Curacao) added 26 points and 11 rebounds, and Jon Boykin (Norwalk, Ct) chipped in with 22 points in the win.

In the women’s game, CMCC defeated NHTI 91-43 despite 15 points from Liz Sinotte (Concord).  NHTI entered the game a bit undermanned due to injuries to key players including captain Allura Leblanc (Northwood), who didn’t play for the Lynx.

The following Tuesday, Nov 25, the men’s team lost 88-80 to a hot shooting Naval Prep team on the base of the US Naval Academy Prep School in Newport, RI.  Tavarez again led the way for the Lynx with 28 points and 6 assists.  Teammates Curtis Williams (Newmarket) and Rutledge both added 14 points in the loss.  The Lynx are now 7-2 on the season.
