NHMS Marketing Head is Guest Speaker for Sports Marketing
NHTI grad Chris Lockwood ’99 recently spoke to Professor Mike Moffett’s sports marketing class about his career journey. Lockwood, who played basketball for Moffett at NHTI during the late 1990's, went on to earn a baccalaureate degree from Elms College.

He later served as Marketing Director for Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion in Gilford, NH, before taking on a similar job at the Palace Theater in Manchester, where he was named one of the “Forty Under 40” promising young NH executives by The Union Leader. In 2012 he became Assistant Marketing Director for the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, where, among other things, he promotes major Sprint Cup events at that 105,000 seat NASCAR facility.
They Came, They Saw, They Registered!
During the first week of registration for Spring 2015 (Nov 17-21), NHTI students were encouraged to register early to secure their spot in the classes that they wanted. The Academic Advising Center provided lots of goodies and Bistro tokens for students waiting to speak with their Advisor. General Studies students who registered during that first week were entered into a raffle, and each day 3 winners were drawn. Prizes included $25 Bookstore Gift Certificates, $25 Gas Cards and $5 Flex Cash Coupons.

Other departments ran similar promotions for students in a variety of other majors. The AGGP, CPET and EET departments, for example, raffled off six $50 gift certificates to Amazon.com or the NHTI Bookstore to any majors who registered before Thanksgiving. (Funds for the raffle were provided by Student Senate.) Eighty-six students registered by the deadline! And the winners were: Stephen Naylor and Charles Hulick (AGGP), Nick St. Jean and Christopher McClory (CPET), and Riley Pfeffer and Jeff Grunwald (EET).
