Transfer Fair 2016

Transfer Fair photo montage

Thirty-eight colleges & universities attended NHTI's Transfer Fair 2016, held on Tuesday, March 1 in the Student Center.  This year’s event was sponsored by the NHTI Bookstore/Follett, the NHTI Veterans Club, the Student Leadership Team and Student Senate.

Over 120 students came through the Transfer Fair!  The college representatives were impressed by the students’ discussions and great questions, and were pleased with the turn out.  College reps say this is a favorite event and they look forward to returning year after year.

We collected nearly 100 raffle entries.  (Not all students who came to the fair took part in the raffle, which required speaking with reps from at least three colleges.)  The Grand Prize winners were Criminal Justice major Kate Andritz, and General Studies major John Shock, each of whom won a $100 gift card to the NHTI Bookstore.

Throughout the 3-hour fair, student volunteers helped welcome college reps and orient them to the campus, and also welcomed and guided students.  Faculty and staff support of the event also played a significant role in its success.  If you helped spread the word, or helped out in any other way, thank you!

(A complete list of volunteers and other prize winners can be found on page three.)
