Open Discussion: Conflict in Ukraine
- This event has passed.
March 22, 2022 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Our NHTI community members continue to watch the troubling events of the Ukrainian and Russian conflict unfold. Our hearts are with those who are impacted by the conflict, and we remain hopeful for the return of peace and stability to that region and the world. The NHTI community is made up of students, faculty, and staff from around the world, including the Ukraine and Russia – and those who have family, friends, and loved ones residing in these regions. For those who are affected, we are here to support you.
In an effort to support the wellbeing of students affected by the Ukrainian and Russian conflict, we will be offering an opportunity for student discussion and togetherness on Tuesday, March 22, at 12:30pm via Zoom led by Professor Dan Huston, Professor Stu Wallace, and academic advisor Dawn Higgins.

Students are welcome to attend to talk about their feelings and engage with others on this very challenging topic. As a community, we must continue to offer compassion and support for one another during these difficult times, and our shared values of human dignity and respect should guide our way. There are also many in our community who would like to support those in need. The U.S. State Department has shared this information https://www.state.gov/united-with-ukraine/ for those who have asked how they can help.
Please know that the NHTI community is here to support you. If you see friends struggling, please encourage them to seek support. If you need support, please reach out to us and connect with those who are here for you.
