NHTI’s 22nd Celebration of Poetry

Join us for this celebration of poetry featuring NH’s poet laureate Alexandra Peary!

Alexandria Peary (MFA, MFA, PhD) is the author of 9 books, including Prolific Moment: Theory and Practice of Mindfulness for Writing and Battle of Silicon Valley at Daybreak. The recipient of a 2020 Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellowship, she received the Iowa Poetry Prize and Best of NH (for inspiring artist). Alex specializes in mindful writing. She is editor-in-chief at Under the Madness Magazine,  publishing teens worldwide. She a is professor in the English Department at Salem State University where she teaches creative and mindful writing.

In a countryside green as a dollar bill,
with the much-handled commercial vegetation
from around mall parking lots or in freeway divides,
in a landscape where the wireless has been shut off,
emoji are at war.
