PG-13 | 1h 24min | Comedy, History | 2018 (USA)

In the mid-1800s, Emily Dickinson is writing, baking gingerbread, and enjoying a lifelong romantic relationship with another woman…yes, this is the iconic poet, popularly thought to have been a recluse. Molly Shannon leads in this humorous yet bold reappraisal of Dickinson, informed by her private letters. A timely critique of women’s history, this film is vibrant, irreverent, and tender – and perhaps a closer depiction of Emily Dickinson’s real life than anything seen before.
