General Motor Vehicle Parking Provisions

All students, faculty and staff may park their motor vehicles on campus free of charge. Parking on the NHTI campus is on a first come first serve basis. During peak usage it may be necessary to park a distance from your classroom or office. NHTI is designed as a walking campus and most walks are easily managed.

Any vehicle operated on campus must adhere to the parking and traffic policies and have the following:

  • Current Registration
  • Current State Inspection
  • Valid NHTI Parking permit

Parking Permits

Students, staff and faculty are required to have a NHTI issued parking permit displayed on the lower left corner of the vehicle’s rear window. Motorcycles must display a parking permit on the left front fork near their inspection sticker.

Parking permits can be obtained through the Campus Safety Department between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Parking permits may also be obtained by applying online using the form below.

Parking Enforcement

The Campus Safety Department will patrol the campus for the purpose of enforcing NHTI policies and motor vehicle law, providing general aid and assistance and crime prevention. Vehicles parked in violation of the parking and traffic policy may be ticketed, booted or towed.
