Utilizing viewings, lectures, and class discussion and emphasizing film theory, criticism, and history, this course explores the creative and dynamic interrelationships of filmmaking, particularly between the director and the director of photography between the vision of a film and its realization. (Prerequisite: ENGL 101C or equivalent, or permission of the department chair. An introductory-level literature course is highly recommended.)
