This extended version of College Algebra is designed for students who need to develop requisite math skills while simultaneously studying advanced algebra topics. During lab sessions, students receive instruction and practice in fundamental skills directly related to the topics presented during lecture. The course emphasizes the use of the graphing calculator as a learning tool and as a means to obtain solutions. Topics include: linear, quadratic and higher degree equations; rational, radical, exponential, and logarithmic equations; graphs of functions; models and applications of functions; systems of linear equations; matrices, conic sections; sequences and series; trigonometry. A graphing calculator is required.* (Prerequisite: Successful completion of MATH 092C or high school equivalent with a grade of C or higher, satisfactory placement scores as defined by the mathematics faculty, or by permission of the Mathematics Department Chair)  [Note: Students who have received credit for MATH 124C may not also receive credit for MATH 124XC.]
