Students will learn advances casting techniques along with windowing of a cast, protection of pins, and external hardware, pin care, and wound care. Custom bracing and DME applications will be reviewed along with proper use of wheelchairs and Hoyer lifts. Students will learn how to accommodate patients who are in wheelchairs, beds, and traction. Students enrolled in this course will be charged a $750 specialty supplies fee. (Prerequisites: ORTH 108C, ORTH 113C; corequisites: ORTH 102C, ORTH 150C)
