Advanced topics in digital electronics are covered in this course. These topics include the internal structure of logic families, complex digital circuits, synchronous logic, A/D and D/A conversion, timing diagrams, computer bus systems, programmable logic devices (PLD), and complex circuit debugging. The topic of digital interfacing is also covered. This includes interfacing various logic families to each other as well as interfacing logic to various I/O loads, such as inductive loads and 120VAC loads. (Prerequisites: CPET 107C, ELET 110C, ELET 115C, and ELET 144C; or permission of department chair of Electronic Engineering Technology.)
