Stage Lynx Presents Blithe Spirit

CONCORD — On the weekend of April 12-14, NHTI’s Stage Lynx drama club will present the classic Noël Coward comedy Blithe Spirit.  The haunting hilarity begins when socialite and novelist Charles Condomine invites the eccentric medium and clairvoyant Madame Arcati to his house to conduct a séance, hoping to gather material for his next book.  Arcati inadvertently summons the ghost of Charles' beautiful but temperamental first wife, Elvira, who then attempts to disrupt Charles' marriage to his second wife, Ruth -- who cannot see or hear the ghost.

Teacher Education Information Night

On Wednesday, May 1, NHTI will hold an Information Night for people interested its Teacher Education Conversion Programs (TECP).  The TECP programs provide a path for persons with a bachelor’s or master’s degree to become quickly certified to teach:

 

  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Special Education
  • ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)

The Information Night will be held from 5:30 – 7:00 pm in NHTI’s Library Living Room.

CAB Comedy Night presents Finesse Mitchell

CONCORD — On Friday, April 26, 2019, from 7:30 – 9:30 pm in the Wellness Center Gym, NHTI’s Campus Activities Board (CAB) presents comedian, actor and author Finesse Mitchell (left), with special guest Feraz Ozel, for an evening of standup comedy.

Finesse Mitchell gained fame with a three-year run on Saturday Night Live.  He has made numerous movie appearances, including Barely Lethal with Samuel L. Jackson and Jessica Alba, and recently premiered a one-hour standup special on Showtime, The Spirit Told Me to Tell You.

2019 Exhibition of Student Work

CONCORD — On Thursday, April 25, 2019, NHTI, Concord’s Community College invites the public to its inaugural Exhibition of Student Work.  This free exhibit – which the college plans to make an annual event – will showcase the work of its students in a broad range of academic disciplines including engineering technology, manufacturing, mathematics, the humanities, natural science and health care (dental and nursing). 

NHTI Launches Three New Certificates in Human Services and Addiction Counseling

Concord, NH – NHTI, Concord’s Community College has launched three new certificate programs that provide key skills for those interested in pursuing careers in human services or addiction counseling. The Human Services Certificate, Advanced Human Services Certificate and the Substance Use Disorder Treatment (SUD Tx) Certificate each consist of six courses and 19 credits which students can complete in two semesters. Students can apply now for the fall semester.
