Teacher Education Information Night

CONCORD — On Thursday, November 1, NHTI will hold an Information Night for people interested its Teacher Education Conversion Programs (TECP).  The TECP programs provide a path for persons with a bachelor’s or master’s degree to become quickly certified to teach:

  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Special Education
  • ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)

The Information Night will be held from 5:30 – 7:00 pm in NHTI’s Library Living Room.

NHTI Hosts Veterans Fair

CONCORD — NHTI, Concord’s Community College will be hosting a Veterans Information Resource Fair for veterans, service members and their families on Tuesday, November 6th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.  The fair will be located in the Student Center Rotunda, and is free and open to the public.  Student veterans, veterans, service members or family members who have questions regarding VA and community benefits/resources can receive assistance.

NHTI Honor Society Inducts Eight

CONCORD — NHTI, Concord's Community College’s Alpha Upsilon Omicron chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society (PTK) hosted an induction ceremony on the evening of October 18th, in the Concord Orthopaedics Auditorium in Grappone Hall.  The chapter celebrates its twelfth year at NHTI.

Interim President Dr. Cathryn Addy offered congratulations, and Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Fiona McDonnell welcomed eight new members and acknowledged their accomplishment.

Stage Lynx Presents “Story Theatre”

CONCORD — On the weekend of November 9-11, NHTI’s Stage Lynx drama club will present Paul Sills’ “Story Theatre,” a play with music based on a combination of Aesop’s fables and Grimm’s fairy tales.  Audience members will recognize many of the stories, such as Henny Penny, The Fisherman and His Wife, The Golden Goose, and The Brementown Musicians.  A Tony Award nominee for Best Play, the show was developed using improvisational theatre techniques, and even today no two stagings of “Story Theatre” are the same.  The students, for example, have chosen the music for this production, with a heav
