This class will cover Excel functions that help manage advanced calculations and data manipulation. While an experienced Excel user could most likely make “something” work, the functions covered will make many situations more efficient. This course tends to be intense and fast-paced and may include troubleshooting problems as they arise (as is common in the Excel environment.) Attendees are encouraged to be proactive and come with questions related to their own Excel questions.
Although this course is designed for Excel 2013 2010, many participants find the content transferrable to Office 2007 through Office 2013. Please check with the Instructor or BTC office before registering if you have any questions since it easier to answer your concerns before the class begins than finding out the class content is not what you are looking for. Designed for PC based computers (sorry not for Mac/Apple).
Functions covered (these functions are typical and may change slightly based on participant need):
- Text functions used primarily for cleaning up data, often imported from another source
- Time and date functions used primarily for re-formatting data that has been imported
