Major Gifts to NHTI
At NHTI, Concord's Community College we consider a Major Gift to be anything that YOU consider a major gift. No donation is too small. For many academic programs, however, a gift of $5,000 is a major impact for that program or department. To learn more, please call 271-6484 x4239 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
For many donors, a gift made through a will is perhaps the most comfortable and easiest way to provide meaningful support. Donors can designate a specific dollar amount or specific property, or a percentage of the residue of their estate. They may benefit a specific College program or its general operations. Ask for a copy of NHTI's Your Gift for Tomorrow brochure for details.
Residual retirement funds are often the most highly taxed estate assets and are often overlooked as an option for funding a bequest. Your heirs may actually benefit when you chose to assign pension fund residuals rather than other estate assets to fulfill a charitable bequest.
There are several ways to give life insurance to the College. You may give a fully paid policy naming the College as the beneficiary. You may transfer ownership of a policy that is not fully paid and continue to pay the premiums, or you may purchase a new policy and name the College as owner and beneficiary. Life insurance is useful for asset replacement when you give other assets to the College. You use a portion of the income you generate from tax savings to purchase a fully paid insurance policy that names your heirs as beneficiaries.
Other Ways of Giving - In Honor or Memory of Ones You Love
Making donations in honor or memory of those you love are a great way to support NHTI, Concord's Community College.
Celebratory gifts, commemorating the birthday, special anniversary or other occasion are a great way to show someone you care, in a meaningful way.
Making a contribution in memory of a loved one is a way to show how much that person touched your life. Families can specify NHTI as the place to send memorial contributions for their loved ones. Of course, we will notify the families of each person who makes a donation.
