The Google Educator L1 Bootcamp consists of instructor led hands on, activities that directly supplement Google’s online training and what you need for a successful examination to become a Google L1 Certified Educator. It will solidify your foundation skills for all of the G Suite Apps. 

  • Ideal participant has basic proficiency using G Suite.  
  • Bootcamp focus is to fill in the gaps and help participants ‘level up so can continue to expand productivity and pedagogy.

Optional Graduate Credit Add On

We have partnered with EdTechnologySpecialists to offer graduate credit from Colorado State University.  Graduate credit is optional.  If students want graduate credit from CSU, they will enroll and complete the online graduate credit component with instructor Allison Mollica.  Students will create a capstone project that demonstrates proficiency of various Google tools, including but not limited to Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Youtube, Sites, Classroom, Slides, Meet, and others. The project will demonstrate how these tools will ignite learning and communication with students or parents, or both.

This workshop is designed for anyone who uses Google Workspace / GMail for professional, educational or personal purposes.  Participants will have hands-on experience managing and cleaning up Google Drive & GMail  focusing on organizational tools with Drive folders, subfolders, naming, sharing & color coding and moving/archiving tips.  If you are new to Google and want to learn more about GMail and Drive,  this is a great opportunity as well.

Includes:

1.  Strategies to clean up GMail and keep it it under control

2.  Strategies to clean up, organize and manage DRIVE.

BONUS:  

3.  The steps to clean up, close out and archive Google Classrooms.  

Even if you don't use Google Classroom, what you learn to manage Drive & GMail will get your workspace 'in control' and help you keep it that way.

Google Workspace is an extensive collection of productivity tools. Learning the power and connection of Google tools for organization, collaboration and sharing will amp up your personal  productivity or that of your business or non profit.

Presented in a series of sessions, this comprehensive series is for new and current Google users who want to build their foundational skills. Advanced tips and tricks will be included to individualize the challenge for all user levels. Each session will cover a different app and the fundamental concepts of security, sharing and streamlining workflow.  

The goal for this course is to understand  and gain hands on experience with Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets and Slides and how these individual apps can be connected to enhance organization, collaboration and sharing in a cloud environment. Related Google services such as Chrome, Photos, Meet, Keep, Tasks, Groups  will be addressed, Participants will have the option of successfully completing follow up activities to earn  the NHTI Google Pro Microcredential.

Dive into the Google world.   What is G Suite and what does it include - for personal and professional use
