NHTI’s women’s soccer team has become one of the nation’s perennial powers among two-year colleges, competing regionally and nationally in the US Collegiate Athletic Association.

In 2018 the Lynx went undefeated in conference play for the fifth year in a row and won their third-straight  YSCC Tournament Championship. In addition, they were awarded the #3 seed for the USCAA National Tournament in Virginia Beach.

The Lynx once again had numerous awards at the end of the season such as YSCC Sportsmanship Award, YSCC Coach of the Year (Heidi Crockett), YSCC Player of the Year (Maura Hart) and a pair of YSCC All-Conference players (Maura Hart & Madison Parrott). NHTI was also well represented at the USCAA All American level as Maura Hart (1st team), Madison Parrot and Falyn Mele all took home the athletic award while four players took home All-Academic honors (Madison Sullivan, Aimee Echelberger, Sophia Castillo, and Fallyn Mele) which are awarded to student athletes that are at least sophomores that attain a GPA of a 3.5 or higher.

Head Coach Heidi Crockett enters her sixth season at the helm and second year Assistant Stefani Gauthier look to take their program to an even higher level this year by working harder on development and TEAM. Their philosophy of “playing for the love of the game” has brought them a lot of success in the past and they plan to continue on with this ideal at NHTI.

Coach Crockett and Coach Gauthier, having both played sports at the collegiate level, understand the demands of the classroom and the soccer pitch. Their “ultimate goal” is to give their athletes the confidence to be successful in the classroom as well as on the pitch.
