Kicking the Competition with a Winning Tradition
NHTI’s women’s soccer team is one of the nation’s perennial powers among two-year colleges, competing regionally and nationally in the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
In 2018, the Lynx went undefeated in conference play for the fifth year in a row and won their third-straight YSCC tournament championship. They were awarded the #3 seed for the USCAA National Tournament in Virginia Beach. Our Lynx are well known in small college circles for their success on and off the field. The Lynx has earned numerous awards, including YSCC Sportsmanship Award, YSCC Coach of the Year, YSCC Player of the Year, and a pair of YSCC All-Conference players. NHTI is also well represented at the USCAA All American level with many All-Academic honors, which are awarded to student athletes that are at least sophomores that attain a GPA of a 3.5 or higher.
The coaches look to take their program to an even higher level by working harder on development. Their philosophy of “playing for the love of the game” has brought them a lot of success in the past and they plan to continue on with this ideal at NHTI.
