Students entering into any of the Sport, Hospitality or Tourism Studies Programs will have an excellent academic foundation to enter into the workforce or transfer to a four-year college or university. Students will have opportunities to meet with industry professionals through internships, guest lecturers or field trips.
The focus of the these programs is to provide a broad educational foundation in courses related to each of the fields. A sample of courses include: marketing, legal, sport and recreation leadership, public relations, sport and recreation facilities, outdoor recreation, event and wedding planning, hotel administration, sales and marketing, tour and cruise sales and ecotourism. Students are encouraged to intern with local business to gain industry experience for potential future employment.
