Department Chair

Keith Wilding, M.A.T., N.R.P.Keith Wilding, MAT, NRP

Keith is the Department Chair and Lead Instructor for the Paramedic Emergency Medicine program. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology (1993) and a Masters of Arts in Teaching/Science Education (1994), both from Boston University. After four years of teaching high school science Keith entered Emergency Medicine as an EMT for Cataldo Ambulance. After graduating from Northeastern University's Institute for EMS (1999) Keith began working as a full-time Paramedic and Field Training Officer for Fallon Ambulance. Keith started working at NHTI as PEM Adjunct Faculty in the fall of 2010. In January 2013 he moved to the full-time position of Lead Instructor, later becoming Department Chair in January of 2016. Keith continues to work part-time as a Paramedic for Fallon Ambulance. Areas of Expertise: Trauma & Medical Emergencies, Special Populations, Laboratory Instruction, BLS/ACLS/PALS Instructor, and Hospital Clinic Coordinator.

Field Clinic Coordinator

Nancy is the Field Clinic Coordinator for the Paramedic Emergency Medicine program. Besides the Master’s Degree in Education she holds an AS in EMS from NHTI (1984) and an AS in Nursing (1994). She has been a Paramedic and Nurse for over thirty years. Nancy has worked for Speare Hospital ER (30 years), the Plymouth Fire Department (15 years), Concord Hospital ER (5 years), and currently works as a school nurse at Proctor Academy. Areas of Expertise: Medical Terminology, Hospital Clinic Supervisor, and Field Clinic Coordinator.

Patrick Lanzetta, M.D. NHTI Paramedic Program Medical DirectorDr. Patrick Lanzetta, MD, FACEP

Patrick Lanzetta serves as the program's Medical Director. A graduate of St. John's University of New York, Dr. Lanzetta earned his medical doctor degree from the University of Montpelier in France in 1973. A lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve, Dr. Lanzetta has assisted with field medic training since 1986. Dr. Lanzetta, who is board-certified as an emergency department physician, is presently affiliated with Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.H.

Ryan Pouliot serves as the program’s Associate Medical Director.  An anesthesiologist by training, he began his career in medicine as an EMT at Rescue Inc in Brattleboro, VT and went on the graduate from the NHTI Paramedic Program in 2002.  Following NHTI he worked as a hospital based paramedic for Greater Lowell EMS before earning his medical doctorate from Harvard Medical School in 2011.  He completed his graduate medical training in anesthesiology at Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women’s Hospital.  Dr. Pouliot is currently an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College and an attending anesthesiologist at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

Jim Beaudoin, A.S., N.R.P.

James Beaudoin, BS, NRP

Jim has been involved in EMS since 1998. Once gaining his certification as an EMT Basic he went to NHCTC for a degree in Fire Science. While working on that degree, Jim was a live-in intern at Gilmanton Fire Department, staying to work full time with GFD after graduating in 2001. Jim started working for Bow Fire Department in 2004 and, while there, attended NHTI’s Paramedic Emergency Medicine program – graduating in 2014. Jim earned his BS in EMS Management in 2018 and is currently the Fire Chief for Alton, NH. Areas of Expertise: ACLS/PALS Instructor and Hospital Clinic Supervisor.

Eliot J. Berman, B.S., N.R.EMT-PEliot J. Berman, BS, NRP

Eliot received an AS in Civil Engineering in 1992 and a BS in Soil Science in 1994, both from UNH Durham. In 2012 he graduated from NHTI with an AS in Paramedic Emergency Medicine. He has been with the Bow Fire Department since 2002 and is currently a full-time firefighter/paramedic holding the rank of Captain. Eliot is also a paramedic for the Central NH Special Operations Unit (SWAT team) and a Deputy Sherriff with the Merrimack County Sherriff’s Office as well as teaching “EMS in the Warm Zone” with the New Hampshire Fire Academy. Other job experiences include 6 years as an Emergency Room Technician at Concord Hospital and was a per diem Paramedic for Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Areas of Expertise: Laboratory Instructor (Advanced Trauma, Paramedic Procedures) and Hospital Clinic Supervisor.

David Franklin, A.S., MA EMT-PDavid Franklin, BS, NRP

Dave graduated from NHTI in 1994 with an Associate’s Degree in Emergency Medical Services and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Phoenix in 2018. For the past 15 years has worked at Cataldo Ambulance in Massachusetts, moving up the ranks from Paramedic to Field Supervisor to Director of Communications. He has worked with the Clinical Education Department providing training for their employees as well as many of the fire departments in the area. Areas of Expertise: Cardiology, 12-Lead Interpretation, and BLS/ACLS/PALS Instructor.

Marlene Hillman, B.S., N.R.P.Marlene Hillman, BS, NRP

Marlene began in EMS as a Medical Explorer (coed branch of the Boy Scouts), riding with a local ambulance service. She became an EMT in 1978 to pay her way through college. She graduated from UMass Amherst in 1981, with a BS in Education. Following a year of substitute teaching and working BLS, Marlene went back to school and earned an AS in Paramedicine at NHTI. Since becoming a paramedic she has worked for two hospital-based services in Massachusetts (Emerson & Lowell General) as well as teaching at NHTI. She is also Affiliate Faculty for ITLS and a Massachusetts EMT Instructor/Coordinator. Areas of Expertise: Laboratory Instructor (Special Populations, Paramedic Procedures, Integration Lab IV), BLS/ACLS/PALS Instructor, Field Preceptor, and Hospital Clinic Supervisor.

Justin has been involved in EMS since 2010, gaining his EMT Basic while completing his Bachelor's Degree at New England College in Henniker, NH. Justin has worked in all types of services including: ALS transfer, fire departments, and private EMS companies. Since graduating from the NHTI Paramedic Program in 2015, Justin has worked as a full time paramedic for Lowell General Hospital ALS. Areas of Expertise: Laboratory Instructor (Medical Emergencies) and Hospital Clinic Supervisor.

Andrew Mason, BS. NRP

Andrew Mason,BS, NRP

Andrew first became involved in EMS while attending Daniel Webster College in 2005.  He was an original member of the school’s EMS service and began volunteering at Milford Ambulance.  After earning a BS in Aviation Flight Operations/Management in 2007, Andrew took a job with Rockingham Ambulance.  He worked in the Manchester EMS system as an EMT, EMT-Intermediate, and a paramedic until taking a full time job with Milford Ambulance in 2011.  There he currently oversees the department's education, prerequisite protocol, and MCI/Rescue Task Force programs.  Andrew graduated from the NHTI paramedic program in 2010 and has worked as a paramedic in Rochester, Manchester, and Peterborough in addition to the Town of Milford. Areas of Expertise: Field Operations, Laboratory Instructor (Special Populations, Integration Lab IV), BLS/ACLS/PALS Instructor, and Hospital Clinic Supervisor.

Jean Richardson, B.S., M.S.N. Paramedic Adjunct FacultyJean Richardson, MSN, ARNP

Jean received a Bachelor’s degree in both Nursing and Vocational Education from UNH in 1995. In 1999, she graduated from the University of Texas with her ARNP, specializing in emergency medicine. She has worked as an EMT-RN and currently works as an ER-ARNP at Speare Hospital in Plymouth, NH. Areas of Expertise: Physical Assessment and Pharmacology.
