CAT 201C Principles of Computed Tomography 3-0-3
An introduction to the principles of computed tomography with emphasis on patient care, patient interactions and management, radiation safety and dosimetry. (Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Computed Tomography Program; corequisite: CAT 202C)

CAT 202C Computed Tomography Image Production 3-0-3
Study of the physics and instrumentation involved in computed tomography image production. Topics introduced include; system components, image processing and display, informatics, image quality and artifact recognition and reduction. (Prerequisites: Acceptance into the Computed Tomography (CT) Program; corequisites: CAT 201C)

CAT 203C Computed Tomography Procedures I 3-0-3
This course provides study of common computed tomography imaging procedures of the head and musculoskeletal system. Topics include: clinical indications, patient preparation and positioning, scanning protocols, radiographic technique, use of contrast media, normal anatomy and pathology and special procedures. (Prerequisites: CAT 201C and CAT 202C; corequisites: CAT 204C)

CAT 204C Computed Tomography Clinic I 0-16-3
Two days per week of clinical experience allows the student to develop practical skills through instruction, application, critique, and evaluation on common computed tomography imaging procedures. All students enrolled in Computed Tomography Clinic I will be charged a per semester clinical surcharge. (Prerequisites: CAT 201C and CAT 202C; corequisites: CAT 203C)

CAT 205C Computed Tomography Procedures II 3-0-3
This course is a continuation of Computed Tomography Procedures I. The course provides study of common computed tomography imaging procedures of the neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis and the pediatric patient. Topics include: clinical indications, patient preparation and positioning, scanning protocols, radiographic technique, use of contrast media, normal anatomy and pathology and special procedures. (Prerequisites: CAT 203C and CAT 204C; corequisites: CAT 206C and CAT 207C)

CAT 206C Computed Tomography Clinic II 0-16-3
Two days per week of Computed Tomography clinical experience to strengthen skills in preparation for registry exams and entry into the computed tomography field. All students enrolled in Computed Tomography Clinic II will be charged a per semester clinical surcharge. (Prerequisites: CAT 203C and CAT 204C; corequisites: CAT 205C and CAT 207C)

CAT 207C Computed Tomography Registry Review 1-0-1
Sessions will be used for review of Computed Tomography Program didactic and clinical courses in preparation for Computed Tomography registry exams. Focus will be on clinical case review, imaging procedures and radiation safety. (Prerequisites: CAT 203C, CAT 204C; corequisite: CAT 205C, CAT 206C)
