Grantham Garden Club
Each year the Grantham Garden Club offers financial scholarships to New Hampshire residents preparing for a career in horticulture, landscaping, forestry, agriculture, plant sciences, or environmental sciences at a post-secondary institution. The students, to be eligible, must be enrolled/about to enroll part-time or full-time in a certified college, technical, or vocational school program in one of these fields. (If a student is uncertain whether his/her field of study is eligible, we encourage him/her to send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org.) The financial award is sent directly to the student’s account at his/her school, and may be used for tuition, books, or other expenses that support his/her education. The scholarship amount is determined each year. In the past the club has awarded between $2000 and $3000 in aid. The amount may be divided among more than one applicant.
While not required, the club asks that the recipients attend a meeting of the club and present a description of their program of study and its role in advancing their career goals.
Information and applications are available on the club’s web site, www.granthamgardenclub.org. Applications may be submitted electronically to email@example.com. Deadline May 1, 2014.
