Friday Night Film: The Gatekeepers

November 15, 7 pm, Sweeney Auditorium

Rated PG-13 (2012) 101 mins.  Riveting, powerful, disturbing, award winning and Academy Award nominated documentary by Dror Moreh featuring interviews with all surviving former heads of Shin Bet, the Israeli security agency charged with overseeing Israel's war on terror - whose activities and membership are closely held state secrets.  It is as if the leaders of the CIA and FBI agreed to be interviewed, only better.  The conclusions by the former Shin Bet leaders for peace in the Middle East are nothing short of astounding.  In English and Hebrew with English subtitles.

Free with NHTI ID; others by donation ($5 suggested).  Sponsored by the NHTI Film Society.  Contact Steve Ambra, 271-6484 x4101.

Shaving Solidarity

Last week the Res Halls gave their all (well, all their hair) in support of one of their own.

South Hall resident Taylor was recently diagnosed with cancer, and had just begun chemotherapy.  She was going to shave her head in preparation for losing her hair, so the staff decided to make it a fun event for her. They called it, Bald IS Beautiful.

In total, 23 people shaved their heads, including all of the RDs. Over 50 resident students attended the event from all 3 halls!

The NHTI Campus Safety Department would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Veterans that have served in the United States Armed Forces.  Without all your tremendous sacrifices we would not be able to enjoy all the liberties that are often taken for granted.  We hope that today you are home safe in the comfort of family and friends.
