Robots Rule at NHTI's Advanced Manufacturing Open House

Around 40 people attended NHTI's Advanced Manufacturing Open House on Wednesday October 9th.  The event, held in concert with similar events at all the community colleges in honor of NH Advanced Manufacturing Week, marked the grand opening of NHTI's new Robotics & Automation lab.

Visitors to the Open House included teachers from area high schools, industry representatives, and the NHTI advisory board.

Feeling in the Pink

A sizable crowd filled the Student Center on Wednesday October 9 for Operation Pink, a day-long breast cancer awareness event which combined educational activities with recreational diversions.

Perhaps the most popular table was the Alternative Spring Break Club's "Buy a Ball, Save a Boob" booth, which challenged passers-by to try their luck at a carnival-style game while raising money for breast cancer research.  We don't know how many people managed to get those little styrofoam balls in the bra-cups, but they sure had fun trying!

Damsel in Distress!

Ashley Smith

Dental Hygiene student Ashley Smith of Derry models the use of the new Code Blue call box in the parking lot outside her North Hall residence.  Ashley's photo will soon be found on magnets, flyers and other literature distributed by Campus Safety to help promote use of the Code Blue boxes.

And a star is born ...!  (Next stop, Hollywood?)
