Welcome to the Math Lab
Professional math tutors are available during selected day and evening hours to help students on a drop-in basis. This service is free to NHTI students. All tutors can help with math through College Algebra. Some tutors can help with Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and Accounting. Call us (271-7725) for details.
Use the math lab to:
- receive help with specific problems and prepare for tests
- learn to use graphing calculators and other computer resources
- improve understanding of concepts being taught
- fill gaps in your background
- reinforce good math study skills

Graphing Calculator Resources
Graph Paper GeneratorIt must be purchased with a new book, or purchased as an extra with a Used Text. (Contact the Bookstore.) If your instructor does not use MyMathLab ask the Math Lab Coordinator how to use it.
- practice tests and assignments that are graded by the computer (you get immediate feedback) and that are exactly like the textbook problems
- video tutorials
Video (on CD) of math textbook authors lecturing on the textbook topics and doing sample problems are available in the Library (ask at the Circulation desk). Extra copies are available from the Math Lab Coordinator. Most math textbooks have this resource.
There is also a video Calculus Lecture Series available for loan.
